Regulatory
T cell and Immunregulation Newsletter (RTCN)
The idea for this new Journal Module in MAI Platform Journal:
The revitalization of the suppressor cell concept, originally mounted
by Richard Gershon, meets a still growing body of interest as evidenced
by the increasing number of publications to this topic. Findings demonstrating
that T cells with suppressive properties are essentially involved in the
induction of peripheral tolerance reveal the central importance of this concept
for the understanding of the basic principals of immunoregulation. Hence,
we fell that the rapidly expanding knowledge about regulatory T cells deserves
a platform provided by this new Journal Module for discussion and pronounced
and provocative opinions of researchers working on the front line.
